1965 Ford Mustang Convertible

Please read the ad. If you are a serious buyer call. Just sending the basic "message" with no other info really isn't a serious buyer. most of these have been scams.
Purchased from owners in southern Ohio, believed to be the 2nd owner. I think I'm #3.
Car was a 6 cylinder, automatic and was mostly disassembled. Doors, top, interior and front fenders were removed.

VIN 5F08T758461 73,082 convertibles were made for 1965.
The original color was a light blue with a blue/white interior.
I acquired it in November 2021 and worked on it until about October 2022 to complete. It is a nice driver quality car with great appearance and performance. Since completed driven periodically and has not achieved the 500 mile break in.
This car has not seen rain or weather since completed. It has been garaged and covered since completed.
It is a responsive engine and drive train. Really looks nice.

The car is painted a Daytona Blue Metallic (from TCP Global) with basecoat-clear coat. It was sanded and polished.
Has a 302 ci 300Hp V8 crate engine from Blueprint engines. all new components, dyno tested (335 HP peak) before it was shipped to me.
Contains new starter, new battery, new fuel pump, a 600 cfm Holley carb, new alternator, voltage regulator, new 3 pass radiator and hoses, new distributor and wires, air cleaner. The fuel system has a pressure regulator and filter at the carb input. The engine bay has the export brace is installed, this one helps with car stability while driving. The engine has a 180 degree water thermostat that functions very well to keep temps down.
A 5 speed Tremec T5 transmission, a hydraulic clutch and a Hurst shifter, installed with new clutch, new pilot bearing and new throw-out bearing.

A 9 inch Ford rear end with 3.25 gearing from Quick Performance. limited slip (a nice blend of smoke em and street performance gears, should do well on low RPM at highway speeds.)

The dual exhaust is mid length headers, a cross over pipe and Magnaflow mufflers through to the rear valence exit.

American Torque Thrust Chrome 15 5 spoke polished wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires; 225/60R15

The car has all new wiring harness (front to back), all new switches on the dash-except the turn signal unit, a new interior has adjustable high back bucket seats with rear seat material to match. New steering wheel.
New black carpeting with mats installed over sound deadening insulation on the floor pans. New pony door panels with new handles. There are new seat belts for 4 passengers.

The heater unit was completely removed and rebuilt with new motor and wiring.
A radio delete panel was installed in place of a new radio. No speaker is installed.


New suspension-rear leaf springs-bushings and bolting, new steering, control arms, rotors, hubs and bearings, new shocks (all 4), front fenders are new, the right rear quarter panel is new, both doors are original, new hood. New floor pans, new inner and outer rockers, new outer wheel wells. New tail panel, new tail lights and turn signal lights, new headlights.

The body was painted in tan primer and the underside was treated with undercoating while on a rotisserie after underside welding was completed. Basecoat paint and 2+ coats of clear.
New gas tank with new tank level components
New windshield and all chrome trim is very clean
New convertible top professionally installed including boot and rear trim pieces. A new convertible cover top cover is available to install when the top is down, stored in trunk. The top operating system is all new-wires, motor and both operating pistons, the frame was all cleaned and top got all new front and rear pads.

Disc brakes all around with new emergency brake components as well.

What does it need:
The door lock trim rings
Needs an outside rear view mirror that is being purchased and installed.
Maybe a new turn signal switch as it does not auto cancel presently
Acquire and install the sun visors

The car wont get on a car carrier/shipper truck until all is satisfied. I don't pay the shipper. I will gladly help with the shipping effort but pickup is at my home in Kentucky.
