Classic Car Overview
1965 Ford Mustang Coupe 302V8, 3 speed automatic. VIN# 5F07C256387
1965 Ford Mustang Coupe 302V8, 3 speed automatic with 78896 miles. We purchased it nearly 22 years ago and have upgraded and restored it throughout the years. Its a solid rust free Mustang which has been garage kept and well taken care of.
The 289 was replaced with a 302, professionally built by a local Ford dealer with roughly 15,000 miles on it. We had it blueprinted and balanced, bored 0.60 over, 351 Windsor cylinder heads, Comp Cams hydraulic camshaft, Speed Pro aluminum domed pistons, Crane Cam aluminum roller rockers, Motorsport aluminum valve covers, Edelbrock Performance 289 intake manifold, Holley 650 CFM 4 barrel carb as well as an upgraded aluminum radiator and MSD electronic ignition. At the time the motor was replaced we also had the transmission rebuilt and a performance torque converter installed.
Custom 2.5 dual exhaust with H-pipe, long tube headers and Flowmaster mufflers.
We replaced the front drum brakes with a disc brake conversion kit, replaced rear drums and brakes, front suspension with Ridetech direct OEM fit adjustable coil over springs along with new rear leaf springs.
The body and paint were redone about 15 years ago where the driver and passenger side front floor pans were replaced with factory sheet metal. Paint is still in great condition, however throughout the years a few chips, scratches and defects have appeared which we will try to point out with photos. New front and rear chrome bumpers, mirrors, door handles, emblems, and American Racing wheels with 225/45/17 tires.
The interior front seats were replaced with original replacement seat covers, headliner, door panels, glove box, Grant steering wheel, trunk mat, along with new carpet. It has the optional factory console.
There have been many other upgrades, improvements and maintenance throughout the years with receipts. We have the original style wheels, steering wheel, and front suspension accessories that come with it. If you need more photos or have any questions please feel free to reach out at 703-509-500six.
