Jim Clarke led the charge with the creation of the 5.0 HO V8 for the Mustang in 1982 and was responsible for the continuous improvement of the 5.0 throughout the '80s. What Jim and his team accomplished is truly amazing.


Classic Car Overview

This is not your average  restoration                  

 1965 Mustang Fastback , Vin # 5F09A332446  just finished  a complete restoration  from the frame up .The car  has a  clear , transferable , New York state  title / registration . It is a "new "  Classic  car . that   handles terrific and is a real pleasure to drive  !

It has many  upgrades . A  "Build Book " is included which  contains   all the  documentation such as past title , equipment purchases , installations and  service  items .

 This Mustang is fitted with ;

 Basecoat / clear coat  Merlot Pearl Paint

The floor pan assembly [ added torque boxes in the front ] was completely   seam sealed , undercoated with 3M "body by Schultz" ,  primed , painted flat black  and clear coated prior  assembly .

All new grey smoked glass . 

 Power windows , Switched  with Billet switches mounted in the doors . The vent windows were re-chromed and re-installed 

Exterior mirrors have LED blinker arrows 

 All new weather stripping throughout

 All the wiring has been replaced with  American Autowire  harness  products . I installed a system shut off switch on the battery tray , just under the battery location 

Electric trunk release located on  the drivers side floor 

 All new suspension installed in the "Shelby " location  ,  1" Lower .  leaf rear springs , Lowering coil springs in the front  all  new  bushings  for a great ride .

Rev  15" Aluminum Wheels  wheels ,  7" rims in the front  8"rims  in the rear

215/60 /15 BFGoodrich tires in the front  225/60/15 BFGoodrich tires in the rear 

Electric power steering by EPAS mounted to an IDIDIT tilt steering column  with a new  wood grain steering wheel 

302 Ford Crate motor  built by Creb engineering , mild cam  GT40-P  heads +- 340 HP 

 Electric fan  and an Aluminum radiator - Fan is operated by the Dakota Digital control and  temperature gauge 

Sanderson  Steel headers  with H pipe and  Magnaflow  dual exhaust  

 Ford  4 speed top loader  manual transmission was completely rebuilt .   New 10"  Performer Clutch and hydraulic  throughout bearing is From McLeod . Hurst shifter was re-chromed and re-installed 

Rebuilt Ford  3:25  / 8  limited slip Rear End  and  new  balanced drive shaft 

 Pedal support was fitted with roller bearings for a smooth operating  Hydraulic clutch 

Holley electronic  Billet distributor  designed for  use with their Sniper EFI

 Sniper EFI system  with hand held tuner  stored in the console

EFI fuel tank [ supply and return lines ] with the pump in the tank . Tank is vented

 Power   brakes , discs up front

 Prime speakers   mounted in the kick panels 

Retro sound Model four Radio / with ports for  Ipod / Phone / USB MP3 / WMA Playback / Blue Tooth and Seriusxm radio ready 

Radio Antenna is  mounted at the top of the rear window 

Dakota digital VHX gauges , all electronic , including the speedometer

 All New interior including  new bolstered foam bucket seats with   headrests . TMI sports seats upholstery with suede inserts and red stitching 

 All new  Gray  carpeting

LED interior lighting

LED headlights with integrated white  led Driving lights and Amber directionals

The idle might be set just a little low for some  but it is super easy to adjust from inside the car  with the EFI  hand held  screen .
