1965 Ford Mustang
Coupe Car for sale in jacksonville, Florida 32258
Given that the 21st century has seen a sort of return to the roots aspect for the Mustang, it was probably only a matter of time before the Boss 302 made a return. Over the last few years there’s been steady and growing interest in the concept of a new-age Trans Am Special.
Jim Clarke led the charge with the creation of the 5.0 HO V8 for the Mustang in 1982 and was responsible for the continuous improvement of the 5.0 throughout the ’80s. What Jim and his team accomplished is truly amazing.

Classic Car Overview
1965 Ford Mustang $12,750
Early 65 Coupe (May 1964 1/2, I have original window sticker) -bought for a daily driver. 260 cid V-8 3.0 rear end gear ratio. Originally manual: transmission, brakes, and steering and without a/c. What I have done since purchase Dec 2013: completely new suspension (OEM) and braking system (4 wheel drums) w/ Wilwood dual master cylinder. 17x7 Ultra Wheel 454's, added Vintage Air Gen IV A/C (yes its blows cold), aluminum radiator, new dual exhaust with cross over h-pipe, rebuilt 2bbl carb & new electronic distributor (no points & not the points change out, complete H.E.I. distributor), gutted interior to add POR-15 coatings to floor boards & all interior metal and same to undercoating, added Tremec 5 speed w/ new clutch, front windshield and headliner, and finally Retrosound radio with rear deck and front speakers. The metal dash is not cut up! Cleaned up window tracks and new bushings. Replaced speedometer cluster added PowerMaster PowerGEN 82101 75 amp alternator (still looks like a generator). I have lots of additional new rubber trim parts not installed. I might have missed something -but you get the idea. All of my replacement parts have been bought from National Parts Depot and I have receipts. The car needs: cosmetics, previous owner must have painted the car in humidity and did not prep surface. Car is Wimbledon White. I will provide additional photos to interested parties.
