1965 Ford Galaxie

SALE PENDING 06/02/2026 .This 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible appears to have been owned by the original owner from 1965 until 2009 where it spent its time in the dry climate of California and Arizona. It is equipped with new exhaust and suspension hardware in 2016 and professionally repainted in 2017. It sends power from its modified original, numbers matching 390ci V8, which has been bored and stroked to 410ci, through a rebuilt Cruise-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission to the 3.55 posi rear differential. Features include air conditioning, and power front disc brakes. Finished in red with a white convertible top over an original red vinyl interior, this Galaxie 500 is available now and comes with restoration receipts dating back some 20 years, a red convertible top boot, and a clear Washington state title.

EXTERIOR FEATURES

A white convertible top and chrome bumpers accent the exterior. The paint is a solid 10 with an ultra flat, perfect reflection. Features include Galaxie 500 emblems on the front fenders, dual rectangular exhaust tips, and stainless steel trim. EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

This Galaxie 500 sits on a set of newer Magnum 500 wheels with spinners, wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires.

INTERIOR FEATURES

The Galaxie's interior features near perfect red vinyl upholstery with matching red carpeting, embroidered red floor mats, and a custom red center console. It comes equipped with a woodgrain steering wheel that has recently been wrapped in red leather, power brakes, air conditioning, six seatbelts, and an original, working push-button AM radio. The trunk is completely rust free in it's original finish with red carpeting as well as a carpeted spare tire cover.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

A 120-mph horizontal speedometer sits in the center of the instrument cluster, flanked by a fuel gauge on the left. Below the speedometer is an analog clock; located under the dashboard are aftermarket oil pressure, coolant temperature, and battery voltage gauges. The analog original odometer currently shows 39559 documented miles. Included paperwork and receipts indicate this to be the original mileage.


ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The original, low mileage "Z code" 390ci V8 has been bored and stroked to a Merc configured 410ci and rated at 430 horsepower, dyno paperwork included along with all build sheets and receipts. Its Cruise-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission has been rebuilt and upgraded with a 2,800-rpm stall converter.

UNDERCARRIAGE

New exhaust and suspension hardware was installed in 2016 and that the undercarriage was cleaned and repainted in 2017. Braking is provided by power front disc and rear drum brakes. Anti-sway bars front and rear with coil over sensatrack shocks. Handles corners beautifully and with confidence.
