Classic Car Overview
This Factory Five Racing Mk3 Roadster is a Shelby Cobra replica that was assembled under prior ownership and is powered by a 302ci V8 crate engine linked with a five-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in metallic blue over a black interior, and equipment includes 17 CCW wheels, Wilwood disc brakes, side-exit exhaust pipes, Simpson racing harnesses, AutoMeter instrumentation, and BBK Performance ceramic-coated headers. The seller acquired the car in December 2023, and subsequent work included the installation of an aluminum radiator. This Cobra replica is now offered with a California title in the sellers name listing it as a Specially Constructed Vehicle without a model year.
The fiberglass bodywork is finished in metallic blue with dual silver stripes. Exterior features include a pair of chrome roll hoops, fender vents, wind wings, and dual side-exit exhaust pipes. Paint protection film on the front of the rear quarter panels is shown up close in the gallery below.
CCW Classic 17 wheels wear staggered-width Falken Azenis RT615 tires in sizes 255/40 up front and 275/40 at the rear. Braking is managed by Wilwood four-wheel discs, and the suspension features front and rear adjustable coilovers.
The bucket seats are trimmed in black and equipped with Simpson multi-point harnesses. The car is fitted with a push-button ignition system, and a pair of Polk Audio speakers are linked to a trunk-mounted MTX Terminator amplifier equipped with auxiliary connectivity.
A three-spoke steering wheel accompanies AutoMeter instrumentation consisting of a 180-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary readings that include metric coolant and oil temperature gauges. There is no horn. The five-digit odometer shows 5,500 miles, approximately 1,500 of which have been added by the current owner.
The 302ci V8 features a Holley carburetor, BBK Performance ceramic-coated headers, a Moroso electric water pump, Shelby-branded valve covers, an electric fuel pump, and MSD and Mallory electronic ignition components. The radiator is said to have been replaced in December 2021. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and Toms KA rear axles.
The California BAR sticker shown above lists SB100 status and describes the vehicle as a 2009 Specially Constructed Vehicle. The car is titled as a Specially Constructed Vehicle without a model year using the Factory Five chassis number F5R1005124RD.
