NEW ARRIVAL: We are very excited to offer this gorgeous 1965 Chevy SS396 Impala Convertible that has only 91,000 original and documented miles. Research shows that there were 27,000 V-8 SS Impala Convertibles built in 1965, however, it is believed that only a few hundred were equipped with the 396c.i. Big Block engine which makes this car extremely rare and very collectable! CHECK IT OUT!!
The body is super straight, super solid and extremely clean including the floors, trunk and frame. It has beautiful Tuxedo Black base/clear paint that we just compounded, buffed and polished to a deep luster and brilliant show car shine. We also added a 1-year ceramic coating to protect that shine too. The white power convertible top with boot that are in like new condition as well as all the chrome, trim, weather stripping and tinted glass too!
The red bucket seat interior was completely restored and looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor! It has its original center console with working clock as well as fully functional factory gauges including vacuum gauge. It is all VERY-VERY NICE!!
Powered by what is believed to be its original 396 c.i. big block engine. The production date (07B) 2nd week of July and engine suffix code T0603IG breaks down to being built in the T Tonawanda engine plant on 0603 June 3rd, 1965, IG Impala 396c.i.-325h.p. with 2 speed Powerglide transmission. We also just fully inspected, detailed and serviced it with a fresh carb rebuild, tune up, oil change and flushed and filled the cooling system too. It runs like a clock, smooth and strong and is backed up by a 2 speed Power-glide automatic transmission and 12 bolt rear with 3:07 gears. (12 bolt rear only offered to Impalas built with high horsepower engines)
Other features include power steering, power brakes, power top, new dual exhaust, original AM radio, original 14 wheels with spinner SS hubcaps resting on new white wall radial tires and more!
