Classic Car Overview
Another beautiful Basil Classic... this 1965 Chevrolet Impala with only 5,744 miles has been handpicked and meets Joe Basils standards of excellence and tradition of fine automobiles since 1951. This vehicle is truly one of a kind and one of the cleanest, best-maintained, showroom-condition Impalas you will find! Buy with confidence!! This 1965 Impala SS is one of the cleanest ever to hit our showroom floor. Built in November 1964, this car originally came out of Arizona and made its way to Ohio, where it sat for about 6 years. The owner from whom we bought the car had it fully restored in Cincinnati, where it was photographed throughout the entire process. Under the hood is the original 327 ci V8, 300 HP, with 10:1 compression, built by Tony Bishof. Paired with the engine is the original 1964-1965 date-coded 4-speed manual transmission, sending all 350 HP to a 12-bolt rear end with 3.31 gearing. As you can tell, the previous owner was very meticulous with the restoration, using all GM NOS parts, a 1-piece trunk floor panel, and even sandblasting the entire car. Other features include new white letter tires fitted to factory-style Rallye wheels. Come check out this perfect 65 Impala and be amazed!
