Classic Car Overview

1965 Chevy Impala Super Sport - This is the one you are looking for. This build started with a rust-free California car, originally built in the Southgate, CA, plant. It is a genuine SS car (code 65-16637). Factory Super Sport/327 badging was left intact. Factory options included white vinyl interior with padded dash and A/C. The factory air was replaced with SureFit by Vintage Air that nice and cool through the factory air vents. The engine is an LS-1, rated at around 400 HP, it has a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, power steering and power brakes. The front suspension is a tubular A-arms setup with coilover shocks, and the rear suspension is RideTech tubular trailing arm setup with coilover shocks. The car has CCP 4-wheels disc brakes. The brakes are very firm and responsive - it stops on a dime. The body work is excellent and there are no blisters, cracks, runs or bubbles in the gorgeous red paint. The wheels are American Racing Torq-Thrust II's - 225-40-18 in front and 235-40-20 in the rear. The tires and wheels are brand new. It has an Ididit polished tilt steering column and a Budnik Chicane steering wheel. The gauge package is Dakota Digital. The white vinyl interior is absolutely spotless with no rips or tears or bad stitching anywhere. The carpet is in excellent condition with no stains or tears. The padded dash has no bad spots and the factory console is also in great condition. Even the headliner is in great shape. The glass is all good, the stainless trim and chrome is all in great shape. The LS-1 engine fires right up as it should and runs around 195 degrees in the Texas heat with the A/C running. It has a cold air induction system and a custom aluminum radiator with twin electric fans. The car is a pleasure to drive, does not drift to either side and has plenty of power to get you where you are going. The stance is lowered for that cool resto-mod look. Overall this is a very clean, very reliable and very drive-able car with absolutely no issues whatsoever. it does not have that "old car" feel in the least. You will not be disappointed in this car. Feel free to have it inspected. VIN and trim tags are intact. Please ask as many questions as you like. It would take well over $100K to build this car, but I have it priced reasonably for a quick sale. Of course, car is sold as is/where is and there is no warranty, expressed or implied. I am open to reasonable offers - lowball offers will be ignored. Wire transfer is the preferred method of payment and the car will be stored indoors until you can arrange transport - or you can fly in and drive it home. I am 30 minutes away from IAH airport in Houston, Texas. Water-proof car cover is included. NO TRADES - please don't ask. The title is clear and the car is ready to go. Don't let this one get away.
