Classic Car Overview

The C2 Corvette represents one of the most iconic eras in American performance, and few combinations capture that spirit better than a Nassau Blue 1965 Coupe backed by a high-revving small block and a 4-speed manual transmission. This is the kind of Corvette that reminds enthusiasts why the mid-year cars continue to sit at the top of so many wish lists decades after they first rolled out of St. Louis.

Finished in factory-correct Nassau Blue (FF) over a Blue (415) interior, this Corvette has been cared for by the same owner for the past 29 years and comes accompanied by its original owners manual and Protect-O-Plate. While the car benefits from an older restoration, it remains an impressive and highly presentable example today. The paint continues to show well, the body lines remain crisp, and the panel fit is notably good throughout, giving the car the purposeful and athletic appearance that made the Sting Ray such a sensation when new.

Power comes from its original 327 cubic-inch V8, originally delivered in 300-horsepower specification before being professionally rebuilt to desirable 365-horsepower L76 specifications during the restoration. The engine was blueprinted and balanced with combustion chambers CCd and upgraded with stainless-steel valves, triple valve springs, ported cylinder heads, the original high-rise intake manifold, a Holley 600 CFM carburetor, and the correct 365-horsepower air cleaner assembly. Paired with the M20 4-speed manual transmission and a one-off Hayes dual-disc competition clutch, it delivers the crisp throttle response, exhilarating acceleration, and unmistakable soundtrack that made Chevrolets legendary small-block one of the greatest V8 engines of its era.

Beyond its striking appearance, this Corvette has benefited from extensive mechanical and cosmetic attention including a completely renewed suspension, stainless-steel brake components, an aluminum radiator, new heater core, rebuilt and silk-screened gauges, and a new gear shift assembly. The interior has been refreshed with new leather seat covers and carpeting, while the bodywork and paint were completed by the respected craftsmen at Arts Corvettes, helping preserve the timeless lines that continue to define the C2 Corvette.

For many enthusiasts, the appeal of a classic Corvette lies in finding an example that can be driven, enjoyed, and proudly shown without the anxiety that often accompanies a freshly completed concours restoration. This Corvette embodies that philosophy beautifully. It presents with confidence, has matured gracefully since its restoration, and offers the kind of honest character that encourages you to turn the key and head for your favorite winding road. With its iconic Nassau Blue finish, four-speed manual transmission, upgraded small-block V8, and nearly three decades of dedicated ownership, this 1965 Corvette Coupe is far more than a collectible. Its an American sports car built to be experienced, and one that is ready to create memories for its next caretaker.
