Classic Car Overview

Emerging from a fresh, professional, frame-off restoration, this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Custom Convertible has been finished in Torch Red with a black interior and soft top. The 6.0L LS2 V-8 engine is linked to a Tremec TKO600 5-speed manual transmission and fitted with a FAST fuel system, including the intake and injectors, a new side-exit exhaust, Vintage Air with a front-runner system, and a Dewitts aluminum cooling system. The chassis has been treated to a RideTech tubular suspension with adjustable coilovers and upper and lower control arms, power steering and staggered 18- and 19-inch Z06 wheels with low-profile redline tires. Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes scrub down speed with cross-drilled and slotted rotors and 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers. Inside, passengers enjoy the comfort and support of TMI leather seats, an Ididit tilt steering column, Dakota Digital instruments, an MTX audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, and power windows. When Chevrolet introduced the all-new Corvette Sting Ray for 1963, it immediately joined the school of stunning 60s styling. Unlike the first-generation Corvettes of 1953-1962, buyers could now choose from two body styles: a convertible with a hidden convertible top boot covered by an integrated, hard, painted cover, or a dramatically styled coupe with door skins that cut into the roof like an airplane. An entirely new chassis underpinned the Corvette with a vastly revised rear suspension derived from the CERV I concept car, a shorter wheelbase, a faster recirculating ball steering and a host of other improvements for a remarkably improved driving experience. Add to that near 50/50 weight distribution and the Sting Ray was an absolute joy. Buyers could also choose from a wide array of engines and transmissions and opt for power steering and power brakes, air conditioning and more, making it not only a fabulously sporting car but also a comfortable one as well.
