Classic Car Overview

This 1965 Corvette big block roadster came out of 48 year ownership having been purchased by the last owner in 1976. It was in storage since 1984 until the owner's death last year. It was then sold to a family friend and underwent a total mechanical recommissioning. It was always a California car having been sold new at Selman Chevrolet in Orange, CA. The paint is original except for the rear deck lid and the interior was original as well but was replaced with new reproduction (original interior pieces come with the car if desired).

The matching number 396/425 HP engine was rebuilt, the original 4-speed manual transmission was rebuilt, the original differential was rebuilt, both the front and rear suspension was rebuilt, The brake system was totally gone through, new gas tank and sender, new direct bolt on Knock-Off wheels and tires were installed, new U-joints, new exhaust system, all the bumpers have been rechromed, the radiator had been upgraded to a 1967 one for better cooling, new carpet, new door panels, and new leather seat covers.

Originality features include rubbed out original lacquer paint still in good condition, original factory weather strips, emblems, door handles, black plate, original light lens and dated window glass, original accident free body, solid rust free frame with partial factory frame paint, original assembly line yellow crayon marking and orange and yellow paint on the suspension still being visible.

This car is dialed in and ready to be enjoyed!
