1965 Buick Gran Sport

In 1965 ordering the Gran Sport option means you got a boxed convertible frame, heavy duty suspension, bucket seats, larger tires, Gran Sport emblems and the 401 motor. It was hoping to make goats head soup out of the 65 GTO! This is a clean 89,900 mile unabused car. EXTERIOR: It is a handsome looking body style. It happens to be exceptionally clean and straight too. Theres no rust or damage. The paint has a smooth glossy finish. The chrome and trim is original and I think it still looks great! Vinyl top is in very good shape. The glass has been tinted. The Buick GS mags have a brand new set of tires. They are reproduction Wide Oval redlines that are radials. The red Gran Sport emblems match the tires. Correct T-3 headlights. INTERIOR: It is a very clean, unabused interior. You will be looking at a clean dash area, its not cut cracked or cut. It even has its original working AM radio. The dash pad is mint. They did upgrade the steering wheel with a leather cushion grip. The upholstery is very good, it has deluxe seatbelts in front. The center console is exceptionally nice, the chrome sparkles. Carpet looks good and it has new Gran Sport floor mats. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is a very clean and proper engine compartment. Correct Buick Nailhead 401 making 325 horsepower and a whopping 445 lbs of torque. Features include power steering and power brakes. The engine is painted nicely, air cleaner is restored. The metal surfaces are painted neatly. It has hood insulation, the squirters are hooked up, battery is properly secured, horns work etc. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is clean and complete. Under the trunk lid and jamb are painted nicely. Inside is rock solid with a gray spatter finish. It has a two piece mat and matching tire cover. Complete jack and spare assembly. The weather strip is like new and the trunk light works. UNDERSIDE: Underneath looks very solid and proper. The steering and suspension components look good have been inspected by our mechanics. You can tell various parts have been replaced more recently, upgraded with air shocks. The drum brakes are working properly, e-brake cable is hooked up. Dual exhaust system with Super Turbo mufflers. Looking up at the motor it is exceptionally clean, so is the Super Turbine 300 automatic transmission. The floors appear to be rock solid original condition with a factory undercoat. SERVICE: This one passed our inspection with flying colors! If youre looking for a real clean muscle car that you wont see at every car show like a GTO or Chevelle then this is a good choice!
