1965 Austin-Healey 3000MKIII

We are excited to offer this beautiful 1965 Austin Healey 3000 Mark III BJ8. It is finished in striking red with elegant black interior. This car is a great Healey comes with a Heritage Certificate to confirm all numbers and authenticity. Overall, this wonderful Austin Healey is a nice driver level car. It can be driven anywhere.
The red paint on this car is stunning. The body is straight and the door fit are excellent on the car. The chrome on the body is overall good to very good. A new windshield with all new gaskets was recently installed. All seals and gaskets on the body are in nice condition.
The interior was all redone with a new wood dash, new leather seat covers (front, seat back and back seats), console, new carpet, door panels, door caps, rear side upholstery, dash, center console etc. Also, new seat belts were installed. A new original style steering wheel was installed. New Heater controls installed and toggle plate. As well as a new Retro Radio installed with a new retractable antenna. An Austin Healey riser was installed on the new rear-view mirror, so the driver could see over the boot cover. There are new rubber floor mats also included.
A brand-new stay fast canvas soft top was professionally installed. A matching canvas boot is on the car as well.
The engine is strong with excellent oil pressure and compression. A cold compression test was completed and the compression numbers on all 6 cylinders were excellent, between 150psi to 155psi. Furthermore, it idles nice and there is no valve ticking in the engine. This Austin Healey accelerates without hesitation. There are no unusual noises coming from the transmission, the gears or rear end. The electric overdrive engages and disengages smoothly. In addition, the steering is precise as it should be. It also stops well and straight. The lower steering box seal was replaced and cleaned. Also, an upgraded cooling fan was also added to keep the car cool.
The engine area has been cleaned and degreased.
A new valve cover gasket was installed.
A new oil pan gasket was installed.
An upgraded polished Austin Healey valve cover was installed.
In addition, new spark plugs were installed.
A new upper radiator hose was installed.
The valves were adjusted.
A new throttle linkage installed.
The exhaust manifolds were high temp coated to last. <
The clutch feels great and engages nicely.
New front brake pads and brake rotors.
The brake reservoir was replaced and the system was bled.
The parking brake and rear drums have been adjusted.
The car does not fade either way on hard braking. The parking brake holds as it should.
Left and right kingpins replaced. Front wheel bearings serviced. A new tie rod set was installed.
A new set of 60 spoke chrome wire wheels were recently installed with new chrome knock offs.
The new tires were mounted and balanced.
The rust free and straight underside was cleaned and degreased.
The frame rails are straight, inner rockers are solid and outriggers are also solid as well. The front cross member and sway bar mounts are all solid. The driver, passenger side and trunk floors are also all sound.
A high quality new stainless steel exhaust from England was recently installed.
The trunk of boot area is clean. The spare tire and wheel are excellent. This Austin Healey has a new battery.
