-Incredibly rare and desirable factory Triple Black TR-4 with known California/Utah history from new. Recently purchased in Utah from the believed second or third owner.
-Originally sold in Torrance, California on March 10th, 1964 by Larry Reed Sportscars to a Mr DeLoy Kamnikar for a base price of $2601.
-Added extras were heater, tonneau cover, windshield washers, seat belts, Michelin tires, delivery and handling for a grand total of $3000.52 including tax and DMV. Mr Kamnikar traded in his 1962 Ford Thunderbird for a $2000.52 credit towards his new Triumph and his employers credit union (Western Airlines) financed the rest !
-Kam had a long career in the aviation industry and took good care of his factory triple black TR4 convertible until he passed away in Utah in 2003. Today it shows only 52,879 miles wearing a single quality repaint and retrim, with the rest of the car presenting very original/well preserved.
-Original documents include the original sales contract, Larry Reed lubrication voucher sheet, Triumph maintenance voucher booklet, Triumph Owners handbook, old receipts for parts and a Sears tire set, old CA registrations from 1966/67.
-Super good quality repaint, hardly showing any blemishes. Great condition brightwork throughout, mostly original. Newer replaced tinted windshield glass with new gasket. -Retrimmed seat set, replaced correct black loop carpet, new black crush grain vinyl soft top. Nice dashboard. Original panel kit.
