Classic Car Overview

The Sunbeam Tiger was born from a unique collaboration between the British automaker Rootes Group and American racing legend Carroll Shelby. Inspired by the success of the Shelby Cobra, the Tiger was based on the Sunbeam Alpine but fitted with a powerful Ford V8, transforming it into a formidable roadster. Produced from 1964 to 1967, the Tiger offered impressive performance and remains a beloved classic today. With fewer than 7,100 Mk1 Tigers ever built, they are increasingly rare and collectible, especially well-restored examples like this one.

Available for sale is a stunning 1964 Sunbeam Tiger that has undergone a full, no-expense-spared rotisserie restoration. Finished in a striking shade of green with a clean black interior, this Tiger is a beautifully restored example of a true Anglo-American performance icon.

Under the hood is the original 260 cubic inch Ford V8 engine, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. This combination delivers an exhilarating driving experience, blending British handling with raw American horsepower. Whether youre cruising or carving through corners, this Tiger is a joy to drive.

This example includes both a removable black hardtop and a soft top, offering versatility for any weather or driving conditions. Additional features include front disc brakes, bucket seats, a woodgrain steering wheel, and classic Minilite aluminum wheels. Every detail, from the interior trim to the engine bay, has been meticulously restored to a high standard.
