First introduced in 1963 as a 1964 model, the final iteration of the 356 was the 'C'. Numerous enhancements throughout the vehicle increased occupant comfort and safety, while a new, optional variant of the long-running 1.6L Flat-4 offered increased performance. This motor added the vaunted 'SC' badge to the car. Standing for "Super Carrera" in homage to the preceding high-performance four-cam models, the SC proved to be the perfect choice for any discerning enthusiast.

Available in coupe and cabriolet body styles, the 356 C and SC paved the way for the 911 to take the mantle as the flagship of the company. Today, the 356 SC represents what may be the most refined examples of 356 ownership. While the four-cam Carreras are more powerful, the 356 SC mixes similar performance and significantly more straightforward maintenance. Therefore, it is easy to understand why so many collectors and enthusiasts flock to this remarkable model.

The fabulous 1964 Porsche 356 SC Coupe featured here is finished in gorgeous Light Ivory over a Red interior. This spectacular 356 SC was sold new in Netherlands in 1964. Not long thereafter, it was imported to Southern California by its second owner in 1969 who eventually sold it to a friend in 1974. That gentleman enjoyed the car for nearly 50 years before it made its way into a world-class collection. Now, after a comprehensive service by marque experts in 2023, this investment-grade Porsche is ready for its next caretaker. We are proud to offer what we believe to be one of the very best examples of this highly desirable model to be found anywhere in the market today for the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires to own one of the very best!
