If you're a fan of vintage Japanese cars, be sure to check out Nissan's online heritage site. There are tons of vintage Nissan pics and specs going all the way back to the 1920s. Each featured car or truck has relevant specs and a little "detail" tab that gives some background on that specific car.
The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.

Classic Car Overview
1964 Porsche 356 C Coupe $99,500
Porsche # 219892 was purchased in 1974 by the current owner with 79,000 odd miles on the odometer in San Mateo from the second owner. The first owner was a military man who purchased it new at the factory in Stuttgart, Germany. Bill of Lukes & Shorman in Richmond, California serviced it for 25 years. Forty-four years of service record are in the glovebox with the owners manual. A broken valve spring at 179K required the complete engine rebuild in 1994 by Scott's Independent in Anaheim. They did a superb job of rebuilding the original engine, (matching # P*715255*), while upgrading to an SC camshaft. They also completely rebuilt all four disc brakes. About this same time the body was stripped to bare metal by Rob of Vintage Auto in San Luis Obispo for a "Street Concours" paint job. Repainted again in the original Ivory color 6404 and undercoated. A new Red Leather interior and carpets were also installed at this time. It has the original Zenieth carbs and air filters. Wider 5.5" x 15" factory chrome wheels were added, with the exception of the spare, which is still the original chrome wheel and tire. This is a "late model 1964", registered as a 1965. Because this 356 has received all its factory suggested maintenance it is very near original. Included, but not shown is a standard & optional rear luggage rack. Always garaged and covered. The clock is not working. The drivers carpet is worn through and that seat could use a little TLC. The driver's window is getting a little stiff upon rolling up. Recent fresh oil & filter, all fuel hose hoses & 2 fuel filters replaced, an inspection and extensive road test were all preformed by Richard of Alpine Motor Cars in Hayden, Idaho. It was driven to Colorado and back since the last complete tuneup 2300 miles ago. During this journey, nearing home in North Idaho, an oncoming car struck a deer and threw it onto this lovely Porsche! Minor damage was sustained and was driven home. Impact Auto Body in Coeur D'Alene eventually did a superb job of repairing it while attending to some other repairs which took six years. This fine example of the beloved 356C is rust free and again ready for another delightful drive along Big Sir or any other winding road! Thank you, Paul, ( Agent of owner).
Ps; Any perceived flaws in the paint are due to the amateur photo shoot with my cell phone, it is flawless! At any in-person inspection you will know that we have not misrepresented its condition.
