If you're a fan of vintage Japanese cars, be sure to check out Nissan's online heritage site. There are tons of vintage Nissan pics and specs going all the way back to the 1920s. Each featured car or truck has relevant specs and a little "detail" tab that gives some background on that specific car.
The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.

Classic Car Overview
1964 Porsche 356 C Coupe $119,000
219892 was purchased in 1974 with 79,000 odd miles on the odometer in San Mateo from the second owner. The original owner was a military man who purchased it new at the factory in Stuttgart, Germany. Bill of Lukes & Shorman serviced it for 25 years. Forty-four years of service records and the owners manual are all in the glove box. A broken valve spring at 179K required to complete engine rebuilt in 1994 by Scott's Independent in Anaheim. They did a superb job rebuilding the original engine, (matching # P*715255*), while upgrading to an SC Camshaft. They also completely rebuilt the brakes. About this same time, the body was stripped to bare metal by Rob of Vintage Auto in San Luis Obispo for a "Street Concours" paint job. Repainted the original Ivory color 6404 and undercoated. A Red Leather interior was installed. It has the original Zenith carbs and air filters. Wider 5.5 "X15" wheels were added, with exception of the spare, which is still the original wheel and tire. This is a "late model 1964," registered as a 1965. Because this 356 has received all its factory suggested maintenance it is very much original, including the transaxle. Included, but not shown, is a standard & optional rear luggage rack. Always garaged and covered. The clock is not working. The driver's original carpet is worn through, and that seat could use some TLC. The drivers window is getting stiff upon rolling-up. Recent fresh oil and filter, all rubber fuels hoses and both fuel filters replaced, an inspection and extensive road test were all performed by Richard of Alpine Motor Cars in Hayden, Idaho. It was driven to Colorado and back since the last complete tune-up 2,300 miles ago. During this journey, nearing home in North Idaho, an oncoming car struck a deer and threw it onto this lovely Porsche. It was taken to Impact Auto Body in Coeur d'Alene and held hostage for 6 years by the owner Steve! This is a firm price, please do not bother me if you are not willing, able and serious about this purchase. Thank you, Paul, (Agent of Owner).
