1964 Pontiac GTO

This nicely preserved first year GTO is presented in its factory correct Marimba Red exterior finish. This beautiful example has benefitted from years of proper care and maintenance by its last two Texas owners - the body, floors and frame are all exceptionally nice and this extends through every component of the car. The exterior finish was refreshed in the early 90s and still shows as if it was done within the last few years. The factory 389CI V8 has been professionally rebuilt and has been upgraded with the addition of the popular Tri-Power 3x2 carburetor set up and is mated to a smooth shifting Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission. The Safe-T-Trac rear differential option was selected along with 3.23 ratio, a perfect match for both city and highway conditions. On the interior, options include bucket seats with center console, in-dash tachometer, console mounted vacuum gauge, pushbutton AM radio and a rare vacuum operated remote trunk release. A set of American Racing aluminum wheels have been added along with Red-Line radial tires, the original wheels and immaculate spinner wheel covers are also included.
