Classic Car Overview

Restored 1964 GTO. The restoration took four years to complete and is documented by complete notebook with pictures and descriptions. The car features a 389cid/325hp engine, a 4-barrel carburetor, power steering, power brakes and automatic transmission. and original red-line tires. Matching numbers and complete documentation of the original restoration included. Original Repair Receipts dating from 1977 to 2001 included. Letters and documents mailed to original owner movie photographer Mr. and Mrs. Elwood "Woody" Bredell included. Car looks, runs, and feels like it is brand new. The FIRST muscle car that started it all, the 1964 Pontiac GTO. The GTO was the brainchild of Pontiac engineer Russell Gee, an engine specialist, Bill Collins, a chassis engineer, and Pontiac chief engineer John De Lorean. Don't miss your chance to own a real piece of muscle car history. Plus, it has great precedence. The car was once owned by movie photographer/cinematographer, Elwood B. Bredell and his wife Cheryl. His good friend and actor, Errol Flynn is seen in a photograph with him (included with sale), as seen on the set of a movie. This is a fine example of a rust-free GTO with all original panels. This GTO has undergone a four year restoration with no expense spared. Because the car has never been in an automobile accident, it did not require a frame-off restoration. Each piece brought back to its original like new condition. The car features a 389cid/325hp engine, a standard 4-barrel carburetor, power steering, power brakes, automatic transmission, original red-line tires, floor console, and the bumpers have been re-chromed. The original motor and drivetrain have been completely rebuilt with 69,000 miles on the rebuilt motor. The black interior has been completely redone with correct reproduction carpet, floor mats, seat upholstery, silver pattern headliner, all new weather strips, tinted windshield, deluxe push-button radio and dash tachometer. The paint is restored in the original Aquamarine color WITHOUT the use of bondo or plastic fillers. A complete notebook with a 14-page breakdown of the restoration is included with this car. Also included are several GTO books, publications to aid identification and restoration, and original operating instructions from 1964. This GTO is finished in its original Aquamarine with black interior. Don't miss a once in a lifetime opportunity to own one of the most prestigious muscle cars, this first year GTO!
