Featured in Car Craft and Hemmings Muscle Machine, this seldom seen model was the basis for Oldsmobiles' answer to the GTO, the B09 package, better known as 442. Bumper to bumper, top to bottom, everything has been restore, including all new wiring. Built to look stock, but to run with the best of any of the 442's, including the W30 models, this particular vehicle, an original California Black Plate Olds, has had an extensive frame-off, fully photo-documented and available for review.
The engine is a 455 CI Olds motor that has been bored, balanced and blueprinted, containing a CRane Cam, Harlan Sharp roller rockers and Edelbrock aluminum heads and intake.; 200R4 transmission built by California Specialty Transmission (Art Carr): Custom 9" Ford 31 spline rear end with Moser axles and 3:55 traction lock gearing: Global West complete suspension, F&R including springs, with optional bars connecting the lower and upper rear bars to control wheel hop; Ceramic coated headers connected to Pypes Complete exhaust system including X pipe and cutouts; Aluminum Be Cool radiator with twin electris cooling fans; American Torque Thrust rims (15x6 & 15x7); Mallery 6AL box; 4 wheel power disc brakes; power steering and factory power windows; Interior redone with Just Dashes restoring dash pad and door panels; Factory installed center console complete with Tachometer and a Quick Silver ratchet shifter; Auto Meter Oil and Water gauges custom fit into dash. AM/FM Cassette installed in factory location.
