Classic Car Overview

Ruby is a beautiful, hard to find, early '60s MGB Roadster with the sought after metal dash and interior.

She starts up first time, every time! Idles, drives, brakes, corners, and cruises perfectly!

The top was new a couple of years ago but I've never put it up. It also has a tonneau cover and a wind deflector for behind the seats. I have boxes of small parts, bulbs & filters etc. and the original steering wheel if you want to put it back on. After adding the wooden wheel, I put the horn on a chrome button on the dash behind the left side of the wheel, as I find it much quicker and easier to use at my fingertips. The hole was a factory hole, with an unused plastic lens on it, so nothing was drilled or changed.

The audio system is amazing, and was professionally installed by Freeman's, with speakers in the back and behind the lower fascia grill. I've since added a new head unit with Bluetooth.

It was originally light blue, and was lovingly restored in metallic flamenco red, I would have liked to see them paint the engine bay too, but that's okay, this isn't a trailer queen, she's a driver, and she's gorgeous; she draws a crowd everywhere I park! I had considered painting the engine bay black at some point, but I didn't get around to it. I've replaced the original air cleaners with pancake cleaners, and I have the original air cleaners.

Ruby is a perfect example of a highly sought after early '60s MGB Roadster and is a delight to drive, with a smooth, strong engine and a smooth gearbox. 4-speed without overdrive, which I prefer! No syncro on 1st gear, as original. No rust and no issues!

I have a 4" thick binder covering every receipt and several notes from myself and previous owners.

Ruby's an amazing car, and any inspection is very welcome. If you're serious, come take a look. I'm happy to send you a couple of videos I've taken of engine running walkaround and idling etc.

I simply asked for the least I'd be willing to take for her. Similar MGB roadsters sold recently for 18k or more. I was only looking for $13,750 out of Ruby.

how do you determine what the reserve is?

The reserve is a low reserve, and way below what a typical early '60s MGB in this condition would normally sell for.
