California Car, 4-Speed Manual
The car has had the same owner for nearly 40 years. When he bought it, he repainted it and redid the interior. The engine starts and runs strong with no smoking, but it needs a carburetor adjustment/cleaning because it stalls if the choke is pushed all the way. The four-speed transmission shifts well, the clutch feels good, and the braking and suspension are fine. It has an older set of tires.
The body is straight with a couple of minor dings, and the paint needs to be redone. The car was kept indoors for its entire life until about three years ago when it was moved outside with a cover, which caused a fair amount of deterioration relatively quickly. The glass looks good all around, and the trim is original and in mostly decent condition, aside from typical aging and small dings in the rear bumper.
The interior needs to be freshened up, the leather should be dyed, the wood replaced, and the headliner refitted. The dashtop will also need to be recovered.
