This outstanding classic has to be seen in person to truly appreciate since they’re so hard to find in this condition.
Enjoyed by Current Owner Since 2004
The current owner of this 1964 Jaguar Mark II Sedan has enjoyed it since 2004 as the fourth total in its lifetime. He informs us that he was drawn to this gorgeous classic due to its high originality and super clean body lines. While we don’t have a lot of documentation showing this one’s history, we know it was originally an ambassador's vehicle from Guatemala and it has been in California/Arizona for the past 25 years. The factory engine has been replaced with a modern fuel-injected six cylinder for more reliable driving and it really fits this rare classic nicely. It runs cool and quiet in overdrive at low RPM's, making it an exceptional driver that's ready to enjoy.
In terms of recent work, this 1964 Jaguar Mark II Sedan had the engine, transmission and rear end completely rebuilt within the last 5,000 miles. It also had a new Bosch alternator with a regulator built in, a spin-off oil filter setup, and a flex fan was installed to keep the engine cool. An auxiliary fuel pump was also added for emergencies (although it's never been used) and there's a new brake booster in place as well. There is also an alarm system with power door locks that has been wired but not fully installed yet.
Additionally, all the wood on this amazing classic was recently sent to England to be re-veneered with a glossy polyurethane finish, plus there's a new headliner, a new floor insulation, refinished chrome, new radio/speakers with a power antennae and new Michelin whitewall tires on original chrome wheels. With brand new leather seating, the interior is in very nice condition and really stands out among similar models.
Ready to be Added to a Serious Collection
Overall, this 1964 Jaguar Mark II Sedan is a beautiful classic that’s being sacrificed at a conservative asking price so it can find a new home quickly. Most collectors would agree that this is an absolute steal so do not expect for it to remain available for long. For more information about this vehicle, visit our Benicia, California showroom, give us a call at 707-748-4000, or email us at Sales@SpecialtySales.com(mailto:Sales@SpecialtySales.com).
