Classic Car Overview
Originally finished in Wimbledon White, the truck was refinished in light blue with a white pearl roof under prior ownership. Features include cargo bed moldings, chrome bumpers, and side exhaust pipes. Chips and cracks in the paint are pictured in the gallery along with spots of corrosion and rust perforation in the bottom of the drivers door.
The 14 alloy wheels are finished in gray and wrapped in 205/75 Doral radial tires covered in removable whitewall simulators. The pickup is equipped with front coil and rear leaf springs, and stopping power is provided by front and rear drum brakes.
The cabin features bolstered aftermarket bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl with white stripes. The seller notes the stock radio does not work, and the steering wheel shows cracks. The seller has a aftermarket radio but it is not installed
The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer flanked by gauges indicating fuel level and coolant temperature. Aftermarket gauges are mounted below the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 2,800 miles, which is not accurate according to the seller. Approximately 5k miles have been added under current ownership, and total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 200ci inline-six was installed in 2016 according to the seller. An aluminum radiator is installed along with an auxiliary electric fan, an HEI distibutor, and a finned valve cover. Heat-wrapped exhaust headers feed into the side exhaust pipes.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission that was installed under current ownership.
The modelnumber indicates the truck was built with a 170ci inline-six in San Jose, California. Further decoding the data plate reveals the following production information:
Body 66A Falcon Ranchero, base
Color M Wimbledon White paint
Trim 44 Beige vinyl upholstery
Date 11B February 11 assembly date
DSO 71 Los Angeles, California, ordering district
