This truck combines classic F-100 styling with modern Ford performance, suspension, braking, comfort, and drivability.The truck has been fitted with a fuel-injected 4.6-liter Ford SOHC V8 and automatic transmission from a late-model Mustang. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a custom aluminum driveshaft, and the truck has been driven approximately 500 miles since completion.The chassis has been extensively upgraded with boxed frame reinforcements, a Crown Victoria front end, three-link rear suspension, rear coilovers, power rack-and-pinion steering, and four-wheel disc brakes. This F-100 drives, steers, and stops like a modern truck.The exterior has been freshly restored in Boxwood Green, with the cab and bed removed from the frame for rust repairs before being treated with epoxy primer, color, and clear. The frame was also refinished and reinforced.Inside, the original bench seat has been retrimmed in custom tan upholstery, complemented by tan carpeting, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, Lokar shifter with matching tan boot, and a Mustang instrument cluster with modern gauges. The truck also features modern air conditioning, giving the classic F-100 the comfort of a much newer vehicle.
