From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.

Classic Car Overview

Cruisin Classics would like to show off a 1964 Dodge Dart. While it is badged as a 270, it is really a 318 cubic inch engine with an Edelbrock Intake and a 750 cfm 4bbl carburetor. It also has Mickey Thompson valve covers, chrome open breather cover, stock manifolds and a stock radiator. This classic is equipped with power steering, manual brakes with 4-wheel drums, LED brake lights, custom paint (20 years???), Bucket seats, aftermarket gauges in addition to the stock gauges and a Push Button Automatic transmission. The car runs great. It starts right up and sounds great. The mileage listed is not accurate. The interior is quite functional but as you can see in the pictures, you would have the option to bring it back (seat covers, headliner, etc.) if you wanted to. The two-tone paint is an older job and is in a drivers quality spectrum. The tires have plenty of tread and the staggered aluminum 5-spoke wheels (17.5 front and 18.0 back) look awesome on the car and gives it a great stance. This is quite a unique hot rod. Not a ton of these out there and if you are looking for something different to take to the show then this is your ride. It would also be a great starter car for someone that would like to dip their toes in the pool that is the classic car world. It is affordable enough not to break the bank.If you have any additional questions, please call one of our friendly sales staff.
