1964 Chevrolet El Camino SS

1964 Chevrolet El Camino was modified in 2015 and ispowered by a 355ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Theexterior has been refinished in satin black with red pinstriping over a customblack and red interior, and additional features include an airbag suspension,power steering, front disc brakes, bolstered bucket seats, aftermarketinstruments, and a billet-aluminum steering wheel. This El Camino is nowoffered with a clean California title.

The exterior has been refinished in satin black and features chrome trim,red pinstriping, and a spray-in bed liner. The hood has been modified to cleardual velocity stacks, and the doors feature shaved handles and electricpoppers. The seller notes that the driver-side vent window does not lock andthat there are scuff marks on the passenger door and the tailgate.

18″ front and 20″ rear split-spoke wheels wear Falken FK452 tires. Theairbag suspension system features a bed-mounted air tank and necessitated themodification of the front and rear wheel wells. The car is equipped with powersteering, and braking is from slotted rotors and red calipers up front anddrums out back.

The cabin features black leather bucket seats with suede inserts, matchingcarpets, and a metallic red dashboard and center console. Amenities include atilt steering column, dual cup holders, and a billet-aluminum steering wheelwith a painted trim.

Aftermarket instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpmtachometer, and a combination gauge for fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, andcoolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 2,950 miles, and totalmileage is unknown.

The 355ci V8 was rebuilt prior to installation and is equipped with a Weiandhigh-rise intake manifold, Holley carburetors, an aftermarket fuel pressureregulator and electric fuel pump, stainless-steel braided fuel hoses,mandrel-bent copper fuel lines, tubular headers, Corvette-branded valve covers,and an aluminum radiator.

The aftermarket electric fuel pump and in-line fuel filter are depictedabove, and shifting is through a three-speed automatic transmission.
