A success both on the sales floor and on track from the moment it launched in 1963, the second-generation (C2) Corvette received only mild updates for 1964. Exterior styling was simplified, with some of the more notable changes being the elimination of the 1963 Corvette's faux hood grilles and distinctive split rear window - the latter dramatically increasing rearward visibility. For the interior, the steering wheel rim was now simulated walnut, while door knobs became chromed. In addition, the 1964 features additional sound deadening and additional shift linkage bushings to decrease interior noise.
Mechanically, the 1964 Corvette remained largely the same, though the highest performance engine variants enjoyed higher outputs courtesy of improved carburetors and re-profiled camshafts. "Muncie" transmissions replaced the older Borg-Warner units also in the name of increased drivability. All told, critics and enthusiasts alike found virtually no fault in the 1964 updates, resulting in improved sales and solidifying the C2 Corvette's status as a full-fledged sports car of the era.
The magnificent 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray 327/375hp 'Fuel-Injected' Convertible featured here is finished in stunning Riverside Red over a matching interior with a White folding convertible top. This exceptional motorcar has been restored with no expense spared is now ready for the show circuit. We are proud to offer this investment-grade Corvette to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires only the very best!
