1963 Pontiac Lemans Convertible, 326 Cubic Inch V8, 3 Speed Manual Transmission Floor Shifter only available with the top of the line hi performance Carter AFB carburetor, Correct Pontiac blue engine paint. Cast iron exhaust manifold. Snorkel air cleaner. rebuilt power steering pump. four-barrel intake & dual exhaust. A camshaft featuring 269/277 degrees advertised duration and .374/.406 lift was used for all 326s. Very nice Grenadier Red V code paint. Very stylish mock vent behind front wheels. great lines and gaps. one piece nose with split grills and dual side by side headlights. Beautiful high gloss chrome front and rear bumpers. Twin hood like ornaments sit atop each fender. A couple minor flaws but presents very well. Soon to be iconic of Tempest, Lemans and GTO rectangle-tail lights. Black vinyl interior split bench seat carpeting, door panels look brand new. Great contrasting white convertible top in excellent condition with black vinyl parade boot. Original AM radio. Considered by many to be the onset of the muscle car era. New for 1963 Y-body Pontiac Tempest and Le Mans construction which featured a unique torque-tube and flexible driveshaft, a rear-mounted transaxle and independent rear suspension. cast-iron dual-plane intake manifold, Delco points distributor, 8.6:1 compression for the 250-hp two-barrel engine and 10.25:1 for the 260-hp and the 280-hp H.O. (High Output). Drag racers loved the 61 - 63 cars CE use of lighter weight, shorter wheelbase, which created maximum traction. Factory steel wheels painted to match car and hubcaps. Runs, looks and drives great.
