Classic Car Overview

I am reluctantly letting go of my 1963 Pontiac Catalina. It is likely one of the finest driven examples of this original American Classic in the world today. Only one repaint in OEM "Silvermist Gray Iridescent" over an original deluxe red cloth and vinyl interior, it is presented in true showroom condition. Having never seen rust or bodywork, the form of this car is flawless with as perfect fit and finish as the 1960's could muster. It is truly exceptional in every way. I am only the second owner of this car and have taken care of its every need for the last 8 years, so I know every inch. I am also a perfectionist with a critical eye so I will give you a scoring from 1-10 on the different aspects of this car. Body 10, Glass 10, Bumpers 10, Trim 9.5, Wheels and Tires 10, Interior Overall 9.5, Seats 9.5, Carpet 9.5, Steering Wheel 10, Dash 10, Headliner 10, Door Panels 9.5, Package tray 10, Instrumentation and Chrome 10, Engine 10, Transmission 10, Brakes and Steering 10, Trunk 10.  Yes, the car is that good! Obviously, a trophy winner at every show, along with Overall Bests in Show. Here is a list of work that has been done to the car under my care. (Exterior) New 12k paint job and original replacement windshield, which has never had wipers used since installation, In fact, the car has never been through a commercial car wash or hose and bucket washed since it's repaint. In other words, no water has ever gone through any gaps or seams. It is kept clean and only driven when there's no rain in the forecast. New period correct appearing whitewall radial tires including the spare  and Perfect NOS hubcaps. Chrome gas door guard added. All exterior chrome and brightwork shows zero pitting. (Interior) New OEM door sill plates. Recast original Deluxe clear and red steering wheel. There are only two places in the U.S. that I'm aware of that can recreate these masterpieces. $1600 for the wheel but this interior deserved it. All door panels were removed, assemblies lubricated, insulation installed and then reattached with correct screws. All windows operate perfectly, and the doors remain open in the correct positions and close effortlessly. So Solid! New OEM correct floormats installed, and a hidden audio system with hidden front and rear speakers operated by remote leaves everything with a stock appearance. Original 389 V8 2bbl 302hp Trophy Engine tuned, all hoses, plugs, points replaced. Original radiator finally replaced after 56 years! New one is perfectly stock in appearance. Rebuilt transmission 3 years ago. New brakes 2 summers ago. The car needs absolutely NOTHING! You'll see no dings, dents, or scratches on the body, no tears or rips or flaws in the interior, and the best part is how smooth and effortless it is to drive. Starts, stops, runs, steers and handles better than new. This well documented 1963 Pontiac Catalina comes with an abundance of provenance, including original books and manuals, ident-o-plate, various Pontiac correspondence, and registration stubs from every year its original owners drove it. One thing I wanted to mention for those with a discerning eye, the chrome stars on the roof pillar are not original to the car, but are a personal tribute to my brother who had an identical 63 Laurentian in Canada, that he was nice enough to take me for rides in as a kid. that's where I learned "Don't slam the doors!!" on an old car. (;  Anyway, they are just affixed with double sided tape and will be removed prior to delivery.) This car is being offered in stunning as-is condition, and I welcome any questions or pre-sale inspections. Thanks for your interest.
