This 1963 International Scout 80 is an extremely nice, extra clean, frame-off restored Scout that is very well sorted and drives excellent. This Scout was restored approximately 10 years ago and has had a few thousand miles put on it. This was restored to be a very nice driver for someone and every nut an bolt was replaced per the last owner who had the vehicle restored. We did not receive the receipts unfortunately. The body is super clean and all steel. Any rust that it had was cut out and new metal was welded in its place. It was then painted Seascape Blue which is a 63 International Scout color. The paint is nice but it was not done to be a pebble Beach paint job. It was totally disassembled when painted. It did receive all new seals, body mounts, and weatherstripping. It received new aftermarket front and rear bumpers. The underside was completely detailed and looks beautiful. We found no rust issues with this Scout.
The interior is very nice and was also restored, It is your basic Scout interior. The front bucket seats and rear bench seat were reupholstered. The dash was completely removed and totally redone. The interior was completely repainted. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work. The wipers, heat, and horn work.
Mechanically this Scout is top notch!! It starts easy and runs and drives excellent. The engine is believed to be the original 2.5L 152 ci Inline 4 Cylinder that was completely rebuilt and runs excellent with no issues or red flags that we found. The Carb was also rebuilt and it received new exhaust, a new distributor, and new alternator. It has the Borg Warner T-90 3 Speed Manual transmission that shifts great and a new clutch was installed when restored along with new master cylinder and new slave cylinder. It is mated to the Dana 18 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. The transfer case was resealed when it was restored. It has Dana 27 front and rear axles with 4.27 gears and both axles were gone through when restored. It received all new brake lines, new fuel lines, new brakes, new steering components, and new steering box. This is all sitting on a nice set of factory steel wheels and hubcaps with Goodyear Wrangler tires size 235/75/15.
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show you everything so you can get a true representation of the vehicle.
