Ford derived the name for this full-size entry from the marketing tie-in with the excitement surrounding the Space Race. With its streaking lines starburst emblems and tail lights reminiscent of rocket thrusters the Galaxie is the epitome of design in the 1960s.Mid-year Ford created the industrys first 1/2 year model by introducing the sports hardtop also referred to as the fastback.This Galaxie comes in beautiful Rangoon Red with a black interior. The wire wheel covers add a nice touch of class. Powered by a recently rebuilt Ford small-block 289 cu. in. V8 sporting exhaust headers and dual exhaust and mated to a console shifted automatic transmission.
