Classic Car Overview
Under the hood is a fresh 302 CID V8 build, with the provided documentation noting new bearings, pistons, rings, a high-volume oil pump, and a Howards roller cam with hydraulic roller lifters. Additional engine upgrades include ported aluminum heads with 2.02 intake and 1.65 exhaust valves, screw-in studs, guide plates, ARP head bolts, billet aluminum roller rockers, chrome moly pushrods, Ford aluminum valve covers, a Cloyes true roller dual timing chain, Edelbrock Performer intake, Holley Sniper EFI with Hyperspark distributor, K&N air filter, headers, and a remote-mounted oil filter with oil cooler. Cooling support comes from a four-row aluminum radiator, new water pump, new belts and hoses, and an electric fan.
Backing the 302 is a 1965 BorgWarner close-ratio T10 4-speed manual transmission with a short-throw Hurst shifter. The build sheet also notes a new flywheel, clutch, and high-performance pressure plate. Power is sent through an aluminum driveshaft to a Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.73 gears. Traction bars, a Quickor rear sway bar, and a new fuel tank with Holley electric fuel pump further support the performance-minded setup.
This Fairlane is equipped with a Mustang II front end conversion with power steering, helping make it more enjoyable to drive. Power-assisted brakes with front disc brakes, drilled and slotted rotors, and rear drum brakes help bring the car under control. Adjustable front coilovers, chrome springs, polyurethane spring bushings, and rear air shocks help give the car a confident stance and ride. The look is completed with American Racing Torq Thrust II chrome wheels wrapped in Nexen tires.
The exterior features custom paint, painted-in Boss-style stripes, new chrome bumpers, straightened and hand-polished stainless trim, a custom painted grille, LED headlights, upgraded LED taillights, and good glass all around. A solid exhaust system with chrome resonator tips gives the car the right sound to match its aggressive appearance.
Inside, the red and black interior gives the cabin a bold and sporty feel. Leather seats, new carpet with Dynamat, a full gauge package with tachometer, Sunpro gauges, Auto Gage tachometer, AM/FM radio, and Jensen speakers add comfort and usability while keeping the driver-focused personality alive.
With its fresh 302 V8 build, Holley Sniper EFI, BorgWarner T10 4-speed, Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.73 gears, Mustang II front suspension, power steering, front disc brakes, custom paint, Thunderbolt hood scoop, American Racing wheels, Nexen tires, and detailed build documentation, this 1963 Ford Fairlane blends classic Ford style with a serious driver-focused performance setup.
