Classic Car Overview

For Sale: 1963 Chevrolet Corvette 327 Fuelie. This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was completed on April 23, 1963 and delivered new to Jim Connell Chevrolet of East Cleveland, Ohio. Power is provided by a numbers matching (see engine stamp photo) fuel-injected 327ci L84 V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in Tuxedo black over red vinyl upholstery. Features include a black convertible top, a Tuxedo black hard roof, turbine-style 15 knock-off wheels, concealed headlights, and a Delco AM/FM radio. The car is said to have been refurbished around 2010. This C2 convertible is now being offered with a clean California title. Finished from the factory in Tuxedo Black (900), the fiberglass bodywork is said to have been repainted some time ago. Exterior features include a replacement black soft top, and newly restored original equipment Tuxedo black hard roof that has never been outdoors, Fuel Injection badging, a chrome driver-side mirror, chrome bumperettes, flip-up headlights, and dual exhausts that exit through the rear valance. Turbine-style 15 wheels wear three-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with Coker Classic red-line tires measuring 205/75. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums. Additionally, the car is equipped with the period correct Chevrolet power steering setup. This was added for driving comfort, but the original take off items were kept and are provided if the new owner wishes to return the car to build specs. The refurbished cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in red vinyl with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Equipment includes a Delco AM/FM radio, a heater, an analog clock, and lap belts. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as fully functioning gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The 327ci L84 V8 featured Rochester mechanical fuel injection and a high-lift camshaft to produce a factory-rated 360 horsepower. The stamping on the engine pad is shown in the photo file. The RF suffix is consistent with a 327ci V8 rated at 360 horsepower and designated for a 1963 Corvette with fuel injection and a manual transmission. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The NCRS documentation supports the production date and selling dealer. The current odometer currently shows 20,395 miles. This 1963 Fuelie is available for $149,950. Hillbank Motor Corporation specializes in selling vintage, classic, and specially constructed vehicles.
