The Most Desirable Corvette Ever?

The 1967 Corvette is considered the most-loved Corvette ever produced. The combination of classic C2 styling, along with an incredible array of powertrain and comfort options, makes it one of the most desirable Corvettes ever. Not bad for a car that was never supposed to be made!

Classic Car Overview

This car is a number matching L76, "barn find" that I purchased from the original owner 20 years ago. He purchased the car new in 1964 in Los Angeles. The car was a daily driver until the late 70's. The original motor was rebuilt in the mid 80's, something broke after the rebuild, and it got parked.

Serial Number 30867S107201 (1/19/63)

Engine Number 3107210 F0102RE (Flint 1/02/63)

Paint 923A Riverside Red & Black Interior

Roadster with NO soft top

Options:

C07 Auxilary Hardtop (in lieu of soft top)

L76 327 ci, 340 hp engine

M20 4 Speed Manual Transmission

N34 Woodgrained Plastic Steering Wheel

U60 AM-FM Radio

The car is very original, looks great, and is a nice driver with very few exceptions. Many items are original/patinaed and not "brand new" nor perfect: chrome, emblems, lights, dash, engine compartment components, etc. The paint still looks very good, but has a few chips and scratches. At some point it had a front clip installed, which could have been done better. Things that are not original: Master Cylinder (have it), Alternator, Mufflers (Flowmasters- I like sound), Glove Box (have broken original), water pump and hoses. What else: Hard top needs weatherstripping (it is always off except for shows), small oil leak.  That's about it.  Mileage is 131K.
