From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.
The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.

Classic Car Overview
1963 Buick Riviera Coupe $27,000
Here is my early production 1963 Buick Riviera with the Deluxe option - number 11,475 - most likely assembled late November or early December 1962. It has the leather upholstery, and is a great highly-optioned original Deluxe model example. Second family owned originally ordered through Kimball Motor Co., in San Luis Obispo, California. It has been lovingly maintained and garaged with 71K miles. It was ordered Arctic white with power windows/vents, seat, antenna, cruise control, remote trunk release, PB, PS, AC, all glass blue tinted. I replaced and installed a new trunk divider kit/mat, but still has the original trunk liner and spare tire cover upholstery. I did a quartz clock conversion, installed a new exhaust put back to original configuration with used resonators I found, new 2-inch lower springs (Coil Spring Specialties) with KYB shocks, and most of the hoses, including AC. Powder coated the original wheels, re-chromed the bumpers, back up light and taillight bezels. The original owner had it repainted in 1991. The Riviera drives starts right up and drives great...I take it to local car shows frequently. I'll be happy to answer any questions that I may have missed in the description. The Riviera is located in Chino Hills area (91710 - for transport estimate purposes) and price is OBO. Thanks.
