Classic Car Overview
The engine is a 289 V8, 4 speed manual transmission with a 4 barrel carburetor and a high raise manifold for high performance. It starts right up every time and sounds beautiful without any knocking or strange sounds. This model has twin traction, rear end air shocks and a newer dual exhaust system. It also includes an electric antenna with the original working push button AM radio. The windshield wipers, gauges and tachometer are all working properly.
This vehicle has been repainted from its original Metallic Green to an Ermine White. The seats are blue and appear to be the original vinyl upholstery without tears or stains. The headliner and rugs are also in good shape. It has white wall tires that are in excellent shape and a brand-new spare tire included in the trunk compartment. It has the original tinted glass all around, and although the windshield and front grill are in excellent shape, this vehicle also includes a brand-new spare tinted glass windshield and brand-new spare front grill.
This Studebaker was originally a California vehicle and has been garaged ever since the original owner. The floorboards and trunk compartment are solid and rust free. The undercarriage is in great shape without any rotting and only the expected minimal surface rust.
The 1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk was one of the fastest production models of its time and very little effort this coupe could be in showroom condition. This vehicle has very few minor needs that I am willing to discuss to any serious potential buyer.
