From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.
The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.

1962 Pontiac Parisienne ( Canadian version of Pontiac Bonneville) built on Chevrolet chassis, originally 327, Powerglide, now 350 with Turboglide, in the last 3 years the front and rear suspension including brakes have been rebuilt, new radial tires ( Canadian built bias tires included) new exhaust including mufflers, new top, top motor/pump and lines, Vintage heat and air installed. Paint is good, appears to be enamel, chrome is good, glass is good, 1 side window looks to have small damage from sandblast, interior is original tri-color grayish with white, carpet looks to be new, radio is only a face (air conditioning took up all the room) dual cone speakers are installed. Steering wheel is a 1961 Impala, original is included, valve covers are aluminum, original 327 covers included. This is not a show car it is a good driver and does well at car shows and cruise nights. I'm sure I've left something out, questions call me 706 291 2937
