Classic Car Overview
Prepared by us a year old, back on the market (I think the owner decided to purchase a Ferrari). 57,000 authenticated miles (listed on the title as `actual`). Rare 1600 Mk II (around 8,700 built out of 101,000 MGAs), few miles on a rebuilt 98hp 1798cc MGB engine (our compression check: 160-170 psi compression in every cylinder). No smoke cold or hot, maintains excellent oil pressure, quiet valves, pulls stronger through the gears yet I was able to pull smoothly from 1,000 rpm in 3rd gear.
(a note about MGA engine conversions: with 101,000 MGAs built, pristine all original cars aren`t exactly in the million dollar class.....and, as with my own MGB engined MGA, some question as to whether it makes a difference in `collectability.` It does, however, make a difference in usability an ownership, more performance, far more flexibility, a higher degree of reliability....all reasons every MGA I have owned had an MGB engine. AND it would take someone very knowledgeable to be able to spot the difference)
Excellent wiring (harness looks fairly new) and electrics, rebuilt front suspension with Urethane bushings, new springs and lower control arms. Wood floors are excellent as is the chassis and the metal strips that support the floor pieces. We can see new rotors, and other brake parts.
Excellent transmission, quiet in first and reverse gears, excellent synchromesh, feels like new. Same with steering, brakes (discs), ride, handling, etc. Considering it is sixty years old, quite remarkable.
Show qualify dove gray paint (an original color), mostly new interior, wire wheels, excellent chrome, brand new top and tonneau, very good side curtains, carpeted trunk, original banjo style steering wheel, all original gauges work, and most of the rubber seals have been replaced. Along with fender beading (fenders were removed when it was painted).
A beautiful example of the last sub model of MGA.
We now offer financing at competitive rates for all vehicles in our inventory. Inquire for details.
