Produced from 1959 to 1971, the W111 Mercedes-Benz (the two-door variant of the W108/W109 sedans and sister lineup to the W112) replaced the W105, W128, and W180 models. Much more modern styling and an increased focus on safety ensured the W111 strengthened the brand's reputation in all markets. Over its production, the car received a number of increasingly larger Inline-6 motors until eventually receiving a new 3.5L V8 for the 1969 model year.
These cars are well known for their good looks, impressive comfort, and fantastic longevity. In theory, one could easily daily drive one to this day, such is the ease of driving and comfort on offer. As such, and with the coupe/cabriolet models being quite rare with only a few thousand produced of any given variant, the W111/W112 Mercedes are highly sought after by collectors and investors alike.
Offered here is a stunningly restored Mercedes-Benz 220 SEb Cabriolet finished in classic White with a two-toned Maroon and Red full leather interior and a fully lined Black Haartz cloth top. No expense was spared in this impressively accurate and detailed restoration. Featuring only 67,736 original miles, a 2.5L Inline-6 from a 250 SL, and an extremely rare four-speed manual transmission, this Mercedes drives and performs like new. As one of only 2,729 produced, of which of very few were imported to the U.S., this SEb is sure to provide many years of driving pleasure and investment return and is offered to discerning collectors, enthusiasts, and investors who appreciate its superb condition and incredible rarity.
