1962 Chevrolet Corvette

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to represent this fully rebuilt example of a 1962 Chevrolet Corvette! The Chevrolet Corvette (C1) is the first generation of the Corvette sports car produced by Chevrolet. It was introduced late in the 1953 model year and produced through 1962. With a new larger engine the 1962 model year Corvette was the quickest to date. Displacement of the small-block V8 increased from 283 cu in to 327 cu in which produced 250 HP in its base single 4-barrel carburetor version. 1962 saw the last solid-rear-axle suspension that had been used from the beginning. Rocker panel trim was seen for the first time the last with a trunk until 1998 exposed headlights for the last until 2005.This particular 1962 example was recently rebuilt in 2020 with full photo documentation on hand. Now powering this gorgeous 62 is a fully rebuilt 350 cu in V-8 with 4-Bolt Main backed by a Borg Warner T-10 4-Speed Transmission housing a Street Pro Clutch Kit.
