1962 Chevrolet Corvette
Car for sale by Classic Car Addict in Mesa, Arizona 85210
The 1967 Corvette is considered the most-loved Corvette ever produced. The combination of classic C2 styling, along with an incredible array of powertrain and comfort options, makes it one of the most desirable Corvettes ever. Not bad for a car that was never supposed to be made!
The ZR-1's production run from 1990-95 was one of the most exciting times for Corvette enthusiasts in recent memory. In the mid-1980s, rumors of a "King of the Hill" Corvette began to leak out of Detroit and into America's speed shops and dealerships.
Classic Car Overview
Powered by a 327/250hp V8 engine paired to a 4-speed manual transmission, this convertible Vette includes the original hardtop. The interior and exterior are Fawn Beige. The odometer reads 3,123 miles (the title reads mileage exempt). The car was restored over a 10-year period to original; documentation included. This Corvette has received multiple First Place awards, with a score of 98.1 at the Corvette Spectacular 1998 Concours dElegance; received First in Class and Peoples Choice Awards. Judged again in October 2019 at the NCRS Arizona Chapter meet and was awarded another Top Flight award. Awards are included with the car.
The colors matching convertible top has quite a clean look. Since the roll-up windows are another later C1 advantage, its nice to see them seal easily with the roof. But a car like this was made to be open to the world. The fawn beige interior matches the exterior perfectly. The overall interior shows the right quality you want with vinyl bucket seats, plush carpeting, complete intricate door panels, and a smooth dash. So you can tell there has been a good mix of preservation and investment. The steering wheel looks awesome, and its ridges have that great thin, grippy feel that only came on the right cars of this era. It has a nice driver feel with clear gauges, including the tach, and a crisp action from the shifter. They even installed an AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette to upgrade the driving music.
The 1962 Corvette was also the only time the first-gen got the larger 327 cubic-inch V8. the way this motor eagerly fires up signals the investments here were more than just cosmetic. The V8 inhales deeply through a four-barrel carburetor and exhales with a nice tune from the dual exhaust.
This is the final year for the generation that launched the legend. Thats why this example is both sleek, significant, and ready to drive. Call now!
