Classic Car Overview

1962 AUSTIN-HEALEY 3000 MK2 BT-7. TRIPLE CARB. BLACK WITH RED LEATHER TRIM. BLACK CLOTH TOP, BLACK VINYL TONNEAU COVER. 4-SPEED WITH OVERDRIVE GEARBOX. 60-SPOKE CHROME WIRE WHEELS. HIGH QUALITY, PHOTO DOCUMENTED, GROUND-UP RESTORATION CIRCA 2015. EXCELLENT. 77,371 MILES.

The Austin-Healey 3000 MK2 was the final roadster model produced that retained the flat windshield glass, sidecurtain doors and the open "wind in the hair" experience. It's updated styling with a vertical slat aluminum teeth grille gave it an expensive look. It was now the most powerful 6-cylinder production Healey to date with an exciting engine bay featuring an array of triple carburetors and 132 bhp.
According to it's BMIHT certificate, this vehicle offered for sale here was delivered new to Los Angeles, California on January 31st, 1962 (about 64 years ago this month!) in the original color combination of Ivory White with red trim, black top. It has been the subject of a high quality, total body-of-the-chassis restoration with photo documentation from a Florida owner circa 2015. It's current factory correct color scheme of black with full red leather trim brilliantly suits the lines of this Austin-Healey roadster.
Details include striking new show quality bodywork and paint, replated or new chromework throughout, new badge bar and foglamp set, new windshield glass, body rubber kit, new wiring harness, believed completely rebuilt drivetrain, rebuilt fuel system, new exhaust system, heat shield kit, rebuilt suspension, braking system, chrome wire wheel set with radial tires, new knock-offs, upgraded cooling system with new thick radiator core and Texas Cooler fan, upgraded electric cooling fan and high torque starter. PLEASE SEE DRIVING VIDEO.
The theme continues inside featuring a full leather interior trimmed in red with restored front seats with new foam, rear seats, matching panel kit, restored dashboard with gauges, luxurious Wilton Wool carpet throughout, front floor mats, new steering wheel and trafficator, restored heater system, door aluminum kit, seat belts, door seals, new Armacord trunk kit, etc. The car's weather equipment includes an upgraded black cloth soft top and new vinyl tonneau cover. PLEASE SEE WALK AROUND VIDEO.
Recently, the car was treated to a $3500 fine paint detailing and high end ceramic coating with a 5 year warranty.
This vehicle represents excellent value in the current market as nut and bolt Austin-Healey restorations currently run at least $100,000 plus, not including the price of a good donor car, and an 18-month wait time. This fully restored Austin Healey is ready to enjoy.

$74,900.
