Classic Car Overview

For sale 1962 Austin Healey 3000 Mark II in San Diego, CA.

This four-seat configuration proven to be the more popular option. This is an MK II version that came with some significant mechanical improvements. Most notably, the addition of servo assistance for the front disc/rear drum brake arrangement. Four speed transmission with Electrical Over-drive. Tripe S.U. carburetors allowed the 2.912 cc inline-six to breathe better and make a respectable 132 horsepower. Within the MKII series were two distinct iterations, the BT7/BN7. The BT7 KM II is the last of the raw, bare-knuckle Big Healeys, with a simple removable soft top, side curtains, and the tri-carb six, it is one of the best of the breed.

This 1962 Austin Healey 3000 MK II is a desirable BT7 model with triple carburetors. This is one of just 5,451 ever built, it is one of the rarer iterations of the classic Big Healey. This is a truly California car and it was treated to a complete restoration back in 2016. It contains a sound and rust-free base with beautiful chrome all the way around. The engine is in excellent condition and the paint and body is in beautiful condition as well. The transmission is a 4 speed with an electrical over-drive. The tires and brakes are just as they were brand new. This car remains in very good condition with a pleasing mellow character. Always garaged and covered. This is truly one of a kind and have attended several shows and as always it attracts a lot of attention.
