Built during the first year of production for the era-defining Jaguar E-Type, this factory left-hand-drive Series 1 Roadster was listed as complete on 15 November 1961. An example of the most coveted flat floor variant, this car was sold new via Parisian distributor Delecroix on 1 December 1961. Per the accompanying Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, the car was originally painted Cream and sported a Black fabric roof over a Biscuit interior.
While the full history of this E-Type is not known, it is understood to have been restored by Provost Automobiles of Le Mans in 2007. Subsequently acquired by the consigning owner in May 2010 and having covered fewer than 5,000 kilometres since its overhaul, the Jaguar notably retains its matching-numbers 3.8-litre straight-six engine. It presents in the factory-correct Cream hue and now wears an attractive burgundy soft-top with interior upholstery to match.
