With the popularity of resto-mod style builds at an all time high, it is not uncommon to find a number of classic muscle and sports cars at your local cruise-ins and car shows. But when was the last time you saw a second generation Ranchero receive the ever-popular resto-mod treatment? That is exactly what we have here in this exceptional and very well built 1961 Ford Ranchero Resto-Mod. This Ranchero benefits from a recent resto-mod style restoration with just over 1,200 miles on the chassis since the build. During the restoration of this great Ranchero, the body was stripped down and acid dipped to remove any and all contaminants from the factory sheet metal. The foundation of the Rancheros build is a custom Art Morrison chassis that has been painted for a show quality presentation. The Ranchero is finished in its current White exterior paint that is in excellent condition throughout and shines extremely well thanks to a recent ceramic coating application. The Rancheros White exterior is tastefully complimented by its Black racing stripes, hood pins, vinyl tonneau cover, factory chrome and stainless trim, and a set of Billet Specialties 5-spoke wheels wrapped in Zeta Meglio tires (dated 2024). This Resto-Mod Ranchero features a custom Grey leather interior that benefits from a number of custom touches including: custom built center console, Hurst T-handle shifter, Autometer gauges, custom leather door panels, custom upholstered leather bucket seats, custom steering wheel, and original style FM radio with modern digital internals. Powering this Ranchero is a very well built Stroker 377 cubic inch Cleveland V8 equipped with a Billet Specialties accessory drive backed by a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. Both the engine and transmission perform just as they should and deliver a much more capable and sporty driving experience than a stock Ranchero can deliver. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a Ford 9 differential. The Ranchero delivers a fantastic exhaust note thanks to the 377 stroker V8 breathing through a custom dual exhaust system fitted with Magnaflow mufflers and electric cutouts. This Ranchero handles the road extremely well thanks to the custom Art Morrison chassis fitted with tubular upper and lower front control arms, triangulated 4-link tubular rear suspension, front and rear coil-over shocks, and 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes. This Ford Ranchero is nicely equipped with options such as: air conditioning, power steering, 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes, digital FM radio w/ Aux, Autometer gauge set, tilt steering column and heater/defrost. Included with the sale of the Ranchero is a book of pictures documenting the restoration of this stunning resto-mod. If you are in the market for a turn-key ready resto-mod on a rarely seen platform or are just looking for an exceptional Ranchero that would present extremely well at any cruise-in or car show, then you will want to take a very close look at this gorgeous 1961 Ford Ranchero Resto-Mod.
