1961 Austin-Healey 3000

This 1961 Austin Healey 3000 Roaster is powered by its 3.0 liter overhead cam inline six cylinder engine fed by dual SU carbs, 4 speed manual transmission with overdrive and rear wheel drive. It is presented in Old English White with Tartan Red coves, over a red interior with white piping and black canvas top. Highlights include: Knock off wire wheels, original "banjo" style steering wheel, original gauges, bent shifter, heater, full tonneau cover, newer stainless steel exhaust, newer fuel tank, etc.





The car is presented as a good "driver quality" vehicle that has been selectively refurbished to include an older repaint and interior upholstery. The exterior possesses good fitment and the paint shows very good for its age. It is not perfect with some minor wear and flaws visible. The Interior remains very tidy and shows very well. The original steering and original gauges show good patina with the carpet and upholstery remaining clean and tidy. The underside of the car remains original and shows excellent structural integrity. It has not been undercoated in any way and has nothing to hide. The motor compartment is clean and appears complete.





Mechanically, the car does run and drive very well. It possesses all the classic qualities one would expect from an Austin Healey 3000. The car starts easily, pulls strong in all gears, shifts well, the overdrive engages properly and brakes straight. It carries that distinct and pleasing exhaust note and overall it is a spirited driver that delivers a classic British open air driving experience.
