1960 Volkswagen Beetle Coupe

The bug has been restored and owned by the current owner for 25 years. I believe it is the fairly rare 1960 VW Euro Beetle (with semaphores). In 2019 it won the Best of Show Vintage class at the Annual Santa Fe Square car show. The bug has been in NM (dry climate) since, at least 1980 and possibly longer (maybe entirely?).
Originally restored as a weekend cruiser for family (and now that kids are grown up) I am selling the car and all VW parts/extras to make room in downsized living environment. The car still needs final touches on some 6 volt connections for wipers and semaphores. Everything else was rewired with modern fuse blocks. The safety stop lights are also easily removeable for future shows, etc. but, help with driving in todays distracted driving environment
The car has been driven minimally in the last 5 years and has always been garaged (and covered in the garage) since restoration.
Upgrades for comfortable driving include, BAP rebuilt 1776 turn key engine paired with a freeway flier transaxle, complete Sewfine interior (seats and matching interior), seat belts on all four seats, Kenwood amp with Polk Audio speakers and pre-amp input that comes through the choke cable area for easy connection to a phone or MP3 player. Care was taken to keep the original era look while adding these upgrades. Just completed valve check, new gaskets, and oil change.

Original engine (has had some mods done by a LANL scientist in the 80s to make it 12 Volt).

Six boxes of new and used parts (original bug parts, new parts, some Ghia parts, and other misc. parts)
Another Type 1 transmission (rebuilt for Ghia and ended up not using)
Other asst sheet metal, headers, mufflers, bumpers, etc.
