1960 Triumph TR3A Exquisite Full Restoration by Concours Expert Original Engine!

This 1960 Triumph TR3A was restored to the highest standards by Phil Capossella, founder of the Hilton Head Concours de Elegance. All work/documentation from 1989. Phil completed the structural/body/paint resto and the interior resto. After Phils 20 years ownership, SC resident completed the drivetrain/engine/clutch/rear end resto in early 2000s. I would expect this car to be graded 95+ Concours.

The restoration was conducted in accordance to the British Heritage Certificate. The car was an Export car but not to US. This is a rare Export Triumph to Spain. The car still incorporates metric gauges per British Heritage Certification.

The car has matching numbers with the original engine rebuilt to est 2200 cc.

Here is chronological history of the restoration:

1989-2010 Phil Capossella Hilton Head SC
- New Tan Interior (panels, seat covers, carpet and dash recover) ($3000 receipts)
- Body restoration by Craftsman Restorations, HHI, SC - Chrome/grille/Engine removed Any rust repaired. Finished in Signal Red (per Heritage Cert) ($10,300 receipts)
- Rear end rebuilt bearings, seals, shocks, brakes.

2010 2015 Lake Wylie SC Resident (over $10,000 in resto investment)
- Engine Rebuild by UK Motorsports, Richmond VA Block vat cleaned, NEW PARTS: cam bearings, oil pump, pistons and liners, chain tensioner, cam gear, crank gear, timing chain, hard tappets and valve guides, intake/exhaust valves and springs, BP 270 mild cam .
- Transmission rebuilt (Original Overdrive transmission swapped for 4 speed manual)
- New wiring harness, clutch, frame painted, U joints, Distributor rebuilt, new horns, new exhaust, Rebuilt Front Brakes.

2015-Present SC resident
- New Daytona Chrome 60 spike wire wheels (Hendrix Wire Wheels, Greensboro, NC) $1500
- New White Wall Tires (per original Heritage Cert)
